LISA M. WARD

Ms. Ward was raised in Wamego, Kansas and attended Highland Community College before graduating summa cum laude from Washburn University School of Business in 1991.  She then completed Washburn School of Law with Dean’s Honors in 1995.  While at Washburn, she was a Moot Court member, a Law Journal Editor, Legislative Intern and Kansas Bar Association Representative.  She was named Washburn’s J.W. Pless Outstanding Senior for 1995 and Balfour Scholar nominee.  She was admitted to practice in 1995.

She is an owner in the firm where she regularly advises businesses and individuals in commercial and residential real estate development, like-kind property exchanges, franchise law, business and organization law, banking, estate planning and employment law.  She is a frequent speaker regarding wills, trusts and estate planning, real estate development and title insurance.

She is a member of the Kansas Bar Association’s Title Standards Committee, the Kansas Bar Association, Reno County Bar Association, Hutchinson Women Attorneys Association and the American Bar Association – Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and Business Law Section.

She is active in non-profit work in Hutchinson and throughout Kansas.  She serves as President of the Hutchinson Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors, President of the Kansas Area Council of Boys and Girls Clubs and is a national advisory committee member to the Boys and Girls Club of America on Child Safety and Protection issues.  Ms. Ward is also a member of Interfaith Housing Board, Leave a Legacy Campaign Committee member and is a member of Hutchinson Rotary Club, Leadership Hutchinson alumnae, Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce and Inman Lions Club.
