GERALD L. GREEN

Mr. Green was born in Pasadena, Texas and graduated summa cum laude from Washburn University of Topeka in 1973 and graduated summa cum laude from Washburn University School of Law in 1976.  At Washburn, he was an Editor of the Washburn University Law Review.  He was admitted to practice in 1976.

He is an owner in the firm and concentrates his practice in the areas of litigation, including business and personal injury, insurance defense and the defense of employment discrimination claims.  He advises many of the firms business and insurance clients regarding litigation matters, both before and after lawsuits are filed.  He also advises and represents the firm’s health care clients regarding the complex issues of health care laws.

He is a member of the Reno County and Kansas Bar Associations, Kansas Association of Defense Counsel (President, 1991), Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, Kansas Association of Hospital Attorneys (President, 2000), Defense Research Institute, National Health Lawyers Association, International Association of Defense Counsel and is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers.  He serves on the Colleges Kansas State Committee.  He also serves on both the County and State Bar Association’s Ethics Committees, regularly investigates, on behalf of those committees’ ethical complaints against other attorneys and has set on Hearing Panels on behalf of the Kansas Disciplinary Administrator’s Office.

He is active within the community and his church.  He has served on various non-profit boards in Hutchinson, the Washburn University School of Law Alumni Association Board of Governors and his church board.  He is currently a member of the Hutchinson Community College Legal Assistant Advisory Committee and a member of the Hutchinson Community Foundation Board of Directors.
